I am proud of the fact that I was a Girl Scout from 2003 to 2017. In this period of time, I received all three levels of awards: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. For the Bronze Award, my troop and I created trivets to fundraise for a family in need. My Silver Award was obtained by volunteering with a local non-profit organization, Connect for Community. For five years, I shopped using coupons and donated all of the items to local food pantries. In addition, I assisted in teaching coupon classes at the local homeless shelter. Finally, for my Gold Award, I went to local senior homes and taught them technological skills so they could better navigate their devices. I have spent the majority of my life volunteering, and I will continue to give back to my local community for the rest of my life.
